Technical partnership for social initiatives

We build bridges between technical and social spheres. We empower social initiatives with our knowledge and technology.

Very often, social innovators need support in technology and methods to design solutions to identified problems. Future Labs has experience in consulting and supporting projects from this angle.

It is also very common to see emergent synergies, in the form of new ideas inspired by technological opportunities.

Few examples:

W ramach innowacji przygotowano  As part of the innovation, a  Passport to Life (PtL) was prepared. It is a set of standardized information about the way non-speaking people with a coupled disability function and communicate. The Passport to Life consists of two parts. The analog part is a paper version of the passport, a box for its storage in the specific place of residence of the dependent person, a silicon band with the dependent person’s PESEL and contact number to the association. The electronic part is an application that allows the creation of an online database with information about the dependent person.

The SOS Homini communication application is a tool for communication between dependents and their caregivers and volunteers to perform simple caregiving, assistive services. SOS Homini is an intuitive and easy to use application available for cell phones with Android system.

As part of the innovation, three complementary tools have been created to support parents of persons on the autism spectrum in the process of empowering their children.

These are

  • a scenario of activation workshops dedicated to parents and caregivers,
  • a brochure on independence – a dialogue between a specialist and a parent, enriched with the opinions of experts, parents, and carers of persons with disabilities; and
  • a set of regulations – a practical hint and inspiration on how to support the process of independence for children with varying levels of ability.
