Art & Science Lab is a platform for mediating between art, science and technology. Through educational, artistic and popularization activities, it looks at technological developments and their impact on society. It supports the development of artistic practices that adapt innovative solutions and creates a space for collaboration between the art, science, technology and creative industries communities.

The project consists of three components:

The Art & Science Lab Residency is a program aimed at artistic individuals wishing to develop their competence in the implementation of interdisciplinary art projects. It provides a unique working environment through access to the innovative technological and expert facilities of a research institute, as well as the production and presentation of a residency project at an art institution.

In the Art & Science Lab Podcast, we look at artistic phenomena emerging at the intersection of art, science and technology. Together with experts and researchers, artists and cultural managers, we consider how technology and science develop art, but also – how art can inspire technology and science.

The Art & Science Lab workshop is aimed at people who want to develop their interests in the area of cutting-edge technologies and their use in artistic and creative practices. The workshop also provides a meeting space for people representing the art, technology and creative sector.

Art & Science Lab is an annual initiative carried out by the Pavilion – Branch of the Arsenal City Gallery, PSNC Future Labs – Living Labs of the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center and the ICHB Foundation of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The project was funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage under the program: Rozwój Sektorów Kreatywnych.
